Reaction to the course SpEd 509

It was indeed a great course for the three students and the professor. We started all the work by agreeing that Buenavista SpEd ES would be our institution where we spend our internship days. It was sad to note that prior permissions were overlooked for its approval. Hence, the team proceeded to a proposal for behavioral plan using jones' model. The team really had hard time getting the direction of work. We tried to search over the web if we could find pieces of work thay might lead us to the right directions, proceeded to various team meeting in or out of school, sacrificing a lot of time just to find that direction on how we could propose a work that could work in a contextual setting like Buenavista SpEd ES. There was really a point wherein we reflected the struggle of the previous students on why they quitted and decided not to continue MATSE. They ended on a dead end idea of not finding a direction of work. Luckily, the team finds a simple direction of chunking the Jones Model ideas into a workable ideas of subtasking. We proceeded to search specific Jones Model strategies and end up tailoring a proposal in a visually enhanced paperwork. It is a thick portfolio of ideas of the three students. We found intrinsic joy having completed the job in the prescribed time. Its the sense of fulfillment that we have proved to ourselves that we can achieve better if we work in harmony. We look forward to be working with Dr. Alaba in our thesis days.

Impression to our professor Dr. Marian Alaba

Dr. Alaba is the rightful pick to handle SpEd 509 or the Practicum in SpEd as she gained expertise from her years of spending it to the field. She face challenges and issues that is relevant and solves it with wit. She is worth admiring because she feared nothing and no one because her principle is really rooted on what she believes. Braleaking the norms of Filipino workmanship, she likes a plain honest work ---No mickey mouse tales attached. She is straightforward and encourages us to practice excellence in service on time. Making our day, she provides stories of her life abroad that makes me wanna go and experiemce a life there. It was really nice having her as professor. If only her previous students read her personality and mind, they too would love her colorful career. Dr. Alaba is a life adventurer.

Impression Of my classmates in SpEd 509 Practicum in SpEd

It has been so long that my colleagues and I hasn't met. Our loud moments were proof of brilliantly speaking minds amidst few populace present. I have been working with Hannah and Reyma since last semester and I commend the working attitudes that we have because we positively collaborate on every undertakings assigned to us. Its one of the reasons that MATSE of this semester feels so light. We prove that no burden can be hard to a great teamwork. These folks has great ideas and heart to commit on Special Education. I see that our professional vision has the same lane and direction. We speak in one mind and agree on one direction but different focus. Hannah is more focused on care and development and is very hands-on every research work we need to do. Reyma loves to analyze things and see if all information are in coherent with each other. I, on the same, makes directions on to where our work goes. The two solicits direction on how will we make things happen in a short period of time. Sometimes I call to order for our meetings and lead the discussions. No doubt this team could provide quality output at the end of term.
